About Vernon Fischer:
Vernon has performed extensively at the finer resorts, hotels, restaurants, and homes in the MD, DC, VA, WV, and NC areas over the past 30 years, entertaining audiences of all ages, that included dignitaries and celebrities. His style is reminiscent of Charlie Byrd, Chet Atkins Earl Klugh and, Ernily Remler whose playing greatly influenced him.
Vernon has studied with some of the great guitarists. The late Emily Rernler (Concord Records Artist and Downbeat Poll Winner), Walt Namuth (The Buddy Rich Band), Coryell, Tim Reynolds.
Performances with: Leroi Moore and Stephane Lessard of the Dave Mathews Band, John Zaradin (EMI Records Artist featured with the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Ballet).
Workshops with: Chet Atkins, Lee Ritnour, Leo Kotke, Albert Lee, Jim Hall, Russ Barenberg, David Brandon and Christopher Parkening.
As a solo guitarist, he can perform acoustically in intimate settings, such as a dinning room, from a bandstand or stroll with his guitar. He can also employ wireless FM transmission to send his music to in house sound systems. This novel approach to sound distribution allows him to move from table to table or room to room of restaurants or banquet facilities and be heard throughout the entire area at a comfortable listening level. His repertoire runs the gamut from Bach to Rock that he has drawn from 40 years of playing experience. It includes songs from many music genres, such as: Latin, gypsy flamenco and Guitar, Classical, 50 rock & Roll, 70's Pop, Blues, Jazz, Brazilian Bossa Nova, Big Band Swing, Broadway Shows tunes, Folk, Traditional Music of the British Isles, Bluegrass, Country, Old Time String Band, Sing along favorites of the 1890's -1920's, Ragtime, Christmas and seasonal songs, and children's music.
He can perform as a solo singer/guitarist, play with small Combo or Band for dancing or listening, or solo with Karaoke type background accompaniment for a full sound.
